Alejandro Rutty's outreach projects include:
The Hey, Mozart! project (2003-2019) with over 15 iterations in the Catskill region, New Mexico, Colombia, Saint Lucia, Greensboro and one pan-American version with participation of delegations from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Haiti, Saint Lucia. with Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Chatter Ensemble, The Organization of American States, Fundación Batuta and other organizations.
Down Home, the Cantata; Jewish Life in the American South, integrating interviews and history into a cantata for voices and orchestra
I Did My Bit (2003), a project integrating interviews of World War II veterans made as music-soundscapes, integrated with WWII-related music and documents. (Hartwick College, Oneonta Middle School)

Hey, Mozart! Greensboro. Alejandro Rutty Artistic Director, Evan Feldman, conductor, the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. 2018, 2019. The project includes a call for melodies in the Guilford County and surrounding areas for children in elementary school age. I led a team of student arrangers in arranging 23 of these melodies for orchestra. The GSO performed those arrangements in their educational concerts
